Welcome to my first edition of Shopping Saturday! I love to shop. I love finding great bargains and products that make life less frustrating. Sometimes it's hard to find a product that actually does what it claims, and unfortunately I've wasted a lot of money on products that definitely did not live up to my expectations. When I find a product that DOES meet or exceed my expectations, I want to tell everyone I can, so each week I am going to share my finds with you!
Please know that these are products that I purchased only because I or my family needed them. I am not receiving them for free from a company, and I have not been asked to review these products. (I also am not wasting my husband's hard earned money on purchasing random items for blog posts!) I'm all about saving money, not wasting money - both mine and yours!
This Weeks Featured Item is:
Tweezerman Slant Tweezers
Do you want to see how much money I wasted on tweezers before I found Tweezerman Slant Tweezers? Even though I am usually shopping savvy and check reviews before purchasing something, apparently I had a massive brain glitch on this one. (see photo below)
If you're frustrated with your current tweezers, try theses - seriously! They are a little more expensive, but the Tweezerman Slant tweezers actually do their job and remove the hair. If you want to save $5, buy the Mini-Slant! That's what I did and I don't even miss the larger size. (I also bought it in pink to keep my husband from borrowing mine!)
One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of theLord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple. -Psalm 27:4 (KJV)

| Tweezer Failure. |
Apparently I thought all tweezers were basically alike - you place it over your unwanted hair, pinch the tweezers closed, and pull. And align and pull, align and pull, align and pull, then get frustrated. You then clean the tweezers, close them empty to see if the blades are touching when squeezed, and try to pull the stubborn hair again, only to fail for the umpteenth time.
I've found that I have a variety of eyebrow hair types. Some are brown and thick and easy to pull with virtually any brand of tweezers. But some of the hairs are super thin and blond and slip right through most tweezers without a prayer of actual removal. And some are just clown hairs playing tricks on me. I get a good grip with the tweezers, start pulling and the hair stretches out like a rubber band, and then the tweezers lose their grip and the hair springs back and even goes back under my skin! Sometimes I have to wait days for them to resurface just so I can repeat the process. These hairs have the roots of a mighty oak and the stretch of a slinky.
After buying and hating so many brands of tweezers, I finally googled "best tweezers" and "best tweezers 2012" only to find that everyone loves Tweezerman Slant. I didn't know it, and maybe you didn't know it, but now we both do. So I ran out to my nearest (grocery) store and purchased a set. These people know their stuff! The Tweezerman Slant tweezers securely grabbed and removed every type of hair I could throw at it. I am officially a convert.
What's so great about Tweezerman Slant tweezers? The tips are hand filed and perfectly aligned for precision tweezing. Want to know what's even better? FREE SHARPENING FOR LIFE!
