Matthew 23:37
King James Version (KJV)
O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!
Pinterest is a great resource, isn't it? I tried another recipe from there and was not disappointed! My super-picky husband even enjoyed the meal. It is a recipe worthy of repeat performances, so here you go:
Crunchy Oven Fried Chicken
(adapted from here)
[Printable Recipe]
Ingredients:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. Season All brand seasoned salt
3/4 tsp. ground black pepper
2 tsp. paprika
1 c. all-purpose flour
2-3 tbsp. butter
Place chicken breasts into a flat dish and cover with milk. Let soak for 20-30 min.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Mix the spices and flour into a ziplock bag or large bowl.
Put butter in 9-1/2" x 13" quarter sheet bakers pan, and place in oven to melt.
Spread melted butter around with a pastry brush to cover entire bottom of pan.
Drain milk from chicken breasts, and completely dredge each piece in the flour mixed with seasonings.
Arrange chicken in the pan over the melted butter. Bake for 18 minutes, then turn the chicken pieces over and continue cooking an additional 18 minutes, or until chicken reaches 170 degrees internally.
Servings: 4
We enjoyed ours with a simple salad, fruit, and sweet potato fries.
Have a great week!
I'm working on a new craft but need to buy more ribbon to finish!
