A morsel (recipe) for you...

Genesis 18:5

King James Version (KJV)
And I will fetch a morsel of bread, and comfort ye your hearts…

Bread is most definitely comfort food.  And biscuits, well, they’re amazing. This is a recipe (well, the basic idea of the recipe) I found on Pinterest and it is so easy and delicious! Of course when you’re talking butter, bacon and cheese, how could it not be delicious? It’s perfect for a lazy Saturday morning, but is so simple that you could throw it together for a yummy breakfast before Sunday church!

This recipe is so versatile and easy to adjust to your own personal preferences. Feel free to change the cheese/bacon ratio, or even double the recipe for a larger crowd.  It can even be changed to use refrigerated canned biscuits – just follow the baking temps and time on the label!

Cheesy Bacon Biscuits
[Printable Recipe]

5 ready-to-bake Pillsbury Grands frozen Buttermilk Biscuits
3 slices bacon, cooked & crumbled
¾ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 tbsp. butter

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Use the butter to grease (and flavor!) an 8” cast iron skillet.

Place the biscuits in the pan with the sides touching. Sprinkle on the mozzarella cheese. Top the mozzarella with the crumbled bacon, and then sprinkle the cheddar on top.

Bake at 375 degrees for approx. 25 minutes or until biscuits are baked and cheese is melted.
